The moment I saw it I wanted it. It was a beautifuly-bound book in the showcase ot the bookshop. I looked at the price and saw that I would not be able to afford it just then. So I decided on the spot to save enough money to buy it.
It took me three months of scrimping and saving before I had enough for the book.
Next I hurried to the shop praying that the book was still there. It was.
I gladly pair for the precious book. I then hurried home to enjoy the treasure that I had been longing for for such a long time.
As I opened the book I felt terribly disappointed. The contents were not what I had expected. It was such a let-down. Only the cover was brilliant. The rest of the book was second-rate stuff. I had been cheated.
I could not exchange the book for another. They would nots let me. However I learned a lesson, a costly one, that all that glitters not gold.
